The investigation into the individuals responsible for the armed robbery at a Post Office branch in Dafni Kalavryta is ongoing.
Two masked men, armed with what is believed to be a Kalashnikov, entered the ELTA branch and threatened an employee, successfully stealing 1,000 euros from the safe.
Upon entering the premises, they discovered the safe was already open. After restraining the employee at gunpoint, they accessed the safe and took the 1,000 euros inside. Although there was an additional 40,000 euros in a bag intended for the safe, the robbers did not find it.

As the robbers fled, local residents attempted to pursue them, prompting the assailants to fire three warning shots into the air. The video below captures the sound of gunfire, followed by the robbers aiming their weapons at bystanders to deter any pursuit.
Based on the evidence collected thus far, investigators believe the robbers had parked a getaway vehicle nearby and are exploring the possibility of an accomplice waiting for them. Efforts are underway to secure video footage from the area.
Meanwhile, police teams are conducting searches to locate and apprehend the suspects, and nearby police departments have been alerted.
