GENERAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
A weather change is on the horizon for western, central, and northern Greece, gradually affecting the entire country with rain and scattered thunderstorms. Locally severe storms are expected in Central Greece, Thessaly, and northern Evia from early afternoon to evening, in Central Macedonia from early afternoon until late night, and in the Sporades during the evening. Other regions will see increased cloud cover with occasional rain and isolated thunderstorms, though an improvement is expected in the west by evening. Additionally, conditions may favor the transport of African dust, particularly in the eastern and southern areas. Winds will blow from the north-northwest at 4 to 6 Beaufort in the west and north, and up to 8 Beaufort in the Ionian. Elsewhere, southern winds will range from 4 to 5 Beaufort, with some areas in the Aegean reaching 6 to 7 Beaufort. Temperatures will generally drop, especially in the west, central, and northern regions, reaching 24–25°C in the north (locally 26°C in the east), 25–27°C in the west, and up to 32°C in Crete, with some locations hitting 33°C.
MACEDONIA AND THRACE
Weather: In Macedonia, expect increased cloud cover with local rain and thunderstorms, particularly severe in Central Macedonia from early afternoon until late night. Eastern Macedonia and Thrace will see clouds develop by late morning, leading to local rain and storms intensifying by early evening.
Winds: Northerly winds at 4–5 Beaufort, locally 6 in western coastal areas. East-northeasterly winds will develop in the east by noon, blowing at 3–5 Beaufort.
Temperature: Ranging from 14 to 24/25°C, with some eastern areas reaching 26°C, while Western Macedonia may be 2–3°C cooler.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN CENTRAL GREECE, WESTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Initially, in northern Ionian and Epirus, clouds will increase, bringing local showers and thunderstorms from late morning in other areas. Severe phenomena are expected in Western Central Greece from early afternoon until early evening, with gradual improvement by evening.
Winds: Northerly-northwesterly at 4–6 Beaufort in the Ionian, reaching 7 and potentially 8 Beaufort locally.
Temperature: Between 15 and 26/27°C, with temperatures inland in Epirus being 3–4°C lower.
EASTERN CENTRAL GREECE, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Initially few clouds will increase from late morning, leading to local showers and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Winds: Southerly at 4–6 Beaufort, and east-northeasterly at 4–5 Beaufort in the northeastern Aegean.
Temperature: 19–28°C, with southern areas reaching 29–30°C. Expect temperatures 3–4°C lower in the north.
THESSALY
Weather: Clouds will increase temporarily, leading to local showers and thunderstorms beginning in late morning. Severe weather is expected to develop in Thessaly from early afternoon through evening and in the Sporades at night.
Winds: North-northwesterly at 4–5 Beaufort, with the Sporades potentially reaching 6 and 7 Beaufort.

ATTICA

THESSALONIKI

Rain and thunderstorms will persist in Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and the eastern Aegean islands until noon, followed by rapid improvement. The rest of the country is expected to have fair weather with some increased clouds and light rain during the morning and midday in the eastern areas, Cyclades, and Crete.
Winds: From the west-northwest at 4–6 Beaufort, reaching 7 Beaufort early in the morning in the Ionian and in the southeastern Aegean during the afternoon.
Temperatures are forecasted to drop, with maximums of 24–26°C in the west, 22–25°C in the central and northern regions, and 24–26°C in the southeastern islands and Crete.

Expect partly cloudy skies, with increased clouds around midday and afternoon in central and northern mainland areas, where local showers or light rain (primarily in mountainous zones) are probable. Light rain may occur overnight in Thessaly and eastern Central Greece.
