The Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) is excited to announce the return of the Greek Summer Camp as part of its 2025 cultural programs.
In collaboration with the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne and the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the camp will take place from July 11 to 20, 2025. Participants will have the chance to explore some of Greece’s most iconic cities, including Athens, Thessaloniki, and Kavala.
This program aims to deepen participants’ connection to their cultural identity through guided tours, workshops, and educational activities. Since 2022, GCM has partnered with the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs to run this camp, sending over 80 students to Greece. GCM Board Member Tass Sgardelis stated, “I highly recommend this experience for any young Greek Australian passionate about their heritage. You’ll make lifelong friendships, immerse yourself in your culture, and have an incredible time exploring Greece.”
The Greek Community of Melbourne is seeking 11 young Australians of Greek descent, ages 18 to 25, to participate in this exciting program. Applications will open next week.
