A high-level delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan was received by the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) S.A. at its headquarters in Piraeus, during an official visit with management executives.
The delegation included representatives from various official entities, such as the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Greece, the Port of Aktau, as well as organizations and companies like KMTF (Kazmortransflot), Kedentransservice, Kaspi Grain Way, and Kazakh Invest.
During their meeting with PPA S.A. Deputy CEO Angelos Karakostas, discussions were held on potential collaboration in transport, logistics, and maritime services, alongside enhancing bilateral relations in port and freight operations.
This meeting is anticipated to mark the beginning of a productive dialogue regarding the development of synergies between the Port of Piraeus and key stakeholders from Kazakhstan.
In particular, participants discussed the Middle Corridor, an intermodal connection between China and Europe, and explored how the Port of Piraeus could complement this route.
PPA S.A., as the governing body of one of the Mediterranean and Europe’s key ports, reiterated its commitment to strengthening international partnerships and actively contributing to the establishment of trade corridors linking East and West.
