According to data from the Bank of Greece, the state budget’s primary surplus on a cash basis reached nearly €4 billion for the January-April quarter.
During the January-April 2025 period, the central government’s cash balance recorded a surplus of €1.874 billion, in contrast to a deficit of €570 million from the same period in 2024.
For this timeframe, the revenue from the regular budget totaled €22.232 billion, an increase from €20.612 billion in the prior year.
In terms of regular budget expenditures, they stood at €19.796 billion, compared to €19.521 billion in January-April 2024.
