The Greek Community of Melbourne is excited to announce a final performance of *Girls in Crisis* at the Doncaster Playhouse this Sunday, May 18 at 14:30, following a run of fully sold-out shows.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Creative Drama & Arts group, established by Katerina Poutachidou, reaches a significant milestone with this bold and engaging production. *Girls in Crisis* delves into the complexities of womanhood, weaving together dramatic excerpts from classical to modern theater.
The show features scenes from various works, including Aristophanes’ *Lysistrata* and *The Ecclesiastes*, Christopher Durang’s *Laughing Wild*, Akis Dimos’ *Destiny*, Kostas Mouselas’ *Ο Μπιντές*, *With Power from Kifissia* by Dimitris Kehaidis and Eleni Khaviara, and Lena Kitsopoulou’s *M.A.I.R.O.Y.L.A. – Frankenstein’s Diary*.

Directed by Jeremy Artis, the talented cast—Ioanna Gagani, Athina Giannou, Pam Pollali, Maria Bakalidou, Niki Skouri, Efrosini Theodosiou, Eleni Baveli, Stella Katsarou, Kostas Stefanidis, and Syrmo Kapoutsi—delivers a powerful and thought-provoking performance. This production examines societal expectations, personal freedom, identity, and the various pressures women face across different times and cultures.
