Indian fighter jets have launched missiles targeting three military bases in Pakistan, reported a spokesman for the Pakistani army today.
As per the spokesman’s briefing, the Indian jets deployed air-to-ground missiles against the Pakistan Air Force facilities at Noor Khan, Murid, and Sorkot, with no reported injuries or significant property damage.
“India will now have to prepare for our response,” the Pakistani army spokesman cautioned.
Officials indicated that ten explosions were heard near Srinagar International Airport in Indian-administered Kashmir.
These explosions followed power outages related to missiles seen over Jammu City earlier on Friday.
A Pakistani army spokesman previously informed state television of India firing six ballistic missiles that landed within Indian territory.
“I bring you alarming news: India has launched six ballistic missiles from Andabur. One missile landed in Andampur, while the other five struck Amritsar in the Indian state of Punjab,” he stated in a video message aired around 2 a.m. Saturday (local time).
“This is a troubling escalation and an extreme provocation, as India has begun targeting civilian areas with ballistic missiles,” emphasized the Pakistani army spokesman, adding that “this action lacks rationale.”
According to eyewitnesses, Reuters reported that explosions were audible in the city of Amritsar.
