Shortly before 8 p.m., a violent attack by masked individuals took place at the Law School of Athens during a DAP-organized event. The assailants, donned in hoods and helmets, stormed the venue and launched unprovoked assaults on attendees. One doctoral student sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Erythros hospital after being struck with a fire extinguisher, with surgery anticipated.
Professor Yannis Saridakis from the Department of Turkish and Asian Studies reported that the injured student was accompanied to the hospital by Dean N. Heriotis from the School of Economics and Political Sciences.
The police are currently interviewing witnesses. Initial accounts suggest that the intruders attacked attendees violently, and when the injured student attempted to intervene, they assaulted him relentlessly, utilizing a fire extinguisher in their attack.
Professor Konstantinos Grivas took to social media to describe the bloody incident. He noted that during the “Career Days” event, approximately ten masked individuals aggressively entered the venue and began attacking the attendees. Among the assaulted was Professor Giorgos Fili, with blood visible on the floor afterwards.
