The political leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport condemned the bombing at Hellenic Train’s offices, which fortunately resulted in no injuries, only minor material damage.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas, stated: “The bombing that occurred today at the Hellenic Train offices is an entirely condemnable act. It is a criminal act that endangered the lives of individuals, workers, and passersby in a central location in Athens during rush hour. Nothing justifies terrorism, and no act of violence brings about Justice. The authorities and the judiciary now have a role to play.”
The Deputy Minister of Transport, Konstantinos Kyranakis, commented: “The attack today on the Hellenic Train headquarters is an act of violence that has no place in a democratic society. We condemn it. The path to Justice and accountability does not go through the terrorism of an explosive device aimed at ordinary citizens and workers.”
