Μια γυναίκα και τα τρία παιδιά της tragically lost their lives yesterday, Thursday, due to a fire that broke out in a 13-story building in Diyarbakır, located in southeastern Turkey, an area predominantly populated by Kurds, according to local authorities.
The city governor, Murat Zorluoğlu, reported that the fire started around 6:30 PM (local time).
“Over 30 people” were urgently evacuated from the building, including 17 who required hospitalization due to suffering from severe smoke inhalation,” he added.

Four people, including three children and their mother, lost their lives,” he reported, without specifying whether they were her children.
Local MP Mehmet Galip Ensarioğlu clarified that all the victims were indeed “from the same family.”
Footage from the scene showed rescue teams hurriedly evacuating residents with the aid of cranes as flames erupted from the roof.
As of last night, 10 people were still hospitalized, according to the governor. The fire has now been extinguished.
He vowed that legal action would be taken against anyone found negligent in this disaster.
