The public prosecutor is requesting an extension of Nikos Romanos’ temporary detention for an additional six months. According to the prosecutor’s proposal, the 32-year-old, who is charged in relation to the explosion at an apartment in Ampelokipi last November, meets the legal requirements for continued detention.
The prosecutor holds a similar view regarding the other four defendants involved in the case, which primarily concerns a terrorist organization. The decision on whether to extend the temporary detention is expected to be made by the competent judicial council in the coming days.
