A man was discovered unconscious on Sunday morning (May 18) near the Archanes area, specifically along the road leading to Mount Giouchtas in Heraklion.
The unfortunate individual, approximately 60 years old, was found by other hikers who alerted the authorities.
An ambulance from the EKAB quickly arrived on the scene, where paramedics and a doctor confirmed his death, according to patris.gr.
